Which cookies Airabits uses, why, and how to change your choice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar storage, such as local storage, works the same way, and this policy covers it too.
Essential cookies
These are needed for the site to work and to keep it secure, so they are always on. The law allows them without consent.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
airabits_rt | Airabits | Keeps you logged in. Holds a random session key, sent only to our login server and unreadable by page scripts. | Until you log out; up to 30 days if you chose to stay logged in, otherwise 24 hours |
airabits_dev | Airabits | Recognises a browser you have logged in from before, so a stranger's failed log ins cannot lock you out. | 180 days |
airabits_me | Airabits | Your name, account type and avatar, so the page shows your account from the first moment while we confirm your login. It holds no email, password or login key, and our servers never rely on it. | Same as airabits_rt; removed when you log out or your session ends |
airabits_consent | Airabits | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every page. | 180 days |
airabits_test_progress | Airabits | Keeps the answers of a test you are taking, so a dropped connection loses nothing. Sent only to that test's page, never to our servers' API. | Until you submit the test; at most 7 days |
Razorpay checkout | Razorpay | Set by Razorpay only when you open checkout, to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. | Set by Razorpay |
Optional cookies
Optional cookies would help us understand how the site is used, for example which pages people visit. Today Airabits sets no optional cookies, whatever you choose. If we add any, we will list them here first, and they will run only if you chose "Accept all". We never use advertising cookies and never sell data.
Other services
Our fonts and photographs are served from our own site, so loading a page does not send your address to font or image companies. Razorpay's checkout loads only when you choose to pay.
Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time, as easily as you made it: . Your browser settings also let you delete or block cookies; if you block essential cookies you will not be able to log in.
We do not sell or share personal data, so a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is always respected, and nothing optional runs until you choose "Accept all".
More about how we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy.
